Care Instructions
Bodhi beads are seeds from plants and require attention during use.
1) Waterproof & Moisture Protection
Avoid exposing Bodhi beads to water. If they accidentally get wet, immediately wipe them dry with a soft cloth and place them in a cool, well-ventilated area to dry.
2) Minimize Temperature Differences
Long exposure to environments with large temperature differences can cause expansion and contraction due to heat and cold, which may severely damage the internal structure of the seed. Use special care in such cases. For long-term storage, keep them in a sealed container.
3) Oil Application & Cleaning
Frequent handling may cause the Bodhi beads to darken or change. It is recommended to gently brush them with a soft brush dipped in a small amount of olive oil. Avoid overuse, as it may cause spots.
4) Frequent Handling
The best way to care for Bodhi beads is to play with them regularly. Once a patina develops, cracks rarely occur. Minor cracks may gradually heal through handling.
Warm Tips
About Cracks
There’s a saying: “No cracks, no Bodhi.” Environmental humidity or temperature shifts may cause the seed to crack. These are not quality issues. As the bead develops a patina, the cracks will naturally blend in.
About Chipped Teeth (Broken Edges)
Chipping is rare. If it happens, do not worry — with continuous use and polishing, the chipped parts will smoothen and blend into the patina, becoming just as beautiful as the rest.
About Color Differences
Beads on the same strand will have almost no color difference. However, due to variations in trees and batches, different strands may have slight color differences. This is natural and not a defect.
